They used to have air drivers shuttle ground packages out to drivers but they weren't allowed to deliver any of those themselves.
Forced to drive ground, after my air route.

I delivered 25 ground stops yesterday due to excessive driver call ins because of the heat. An easy hour at top delivery driver rate and maybe for the whole day.

Big difference between air rate and driver rate.

When I was part time I made the same rate as drivers no matter what work I was doing.

Yes, they are still progressing ground packages. Just like doing a ground pick up that they shouldn't.

Art 40 allows air drivers to deliver and pick up ground packages on an exception basis. As long as UPS pays the air driver top ground rate.
