We'll in the last 3 1/2 years my pension contributions have increased a whopping $.25, with nothing in my contract that guarantees any other increase to the pension fund.

And as for the raises, they were nice.

Have to admit that getting raises (2.2%) that is less than cost of living (3.2%) is not what I would have hoped for.

And I am sure that those newer drivers really appreciate a 4 year wage progression to get to top rate, instead of 3 years which H gave away in the last contract, or 2 years wage progression which H gave away the contract before.

Not bad, but not great either.

And we do get a nice pension at peer 80, my guess would for most at peer 80 with a majority of it full time, would get north or $4000 a month or maybe some at $5000 a month.

But under this contract, we lost pension contributions of about $500 the first year, add $1000 the 2nd year, and add another $1000 this year.

That is compounded, meaning this year, UPS is putting $2500 a year less into our pension fund from here on out.

That money got diverted to our health care.

A weaker health care plan than we had before.

With a deductible starting on the 4th year of the contract, and we have NEVER had deductibles before.

This is what the OG is bragging about.

Not bad, but for a company that averages $4 billion a year in profits, this is not good.

Considering your in a pention plan that is "green" and secured (not having to worry about reduced retiree payments) that pays a nice benifit paired with the best health insurance of UPS you really don't have a lot to compain about compared to their locals. You should be proud of what we accomplished in the west because you can always renegotiate pension contributions but it was a one time deal to lock in our carve out.
