In my local, an out of state funeral for mother, father, parental inlaws, grandparents, direct siblings or step-parents gets you 3 days paid leave.

Best ask your steward what your local supplement says

We had a Center Manager who’s dad died 4 days before Christmas. The jerk who filled in for him had the balls to say his dad wasn’t a very good UPS dad otherwise he would have waited until after peak to die. UPS ‘s management has always been so kind to each other.

you get 3 days paid for bereavement leave for the loss of a parent. Management will usually let you take more off if needed, especially if you have to travel for the funeral
