Don't feel bad. I haven't even finished the Liyue story or archon quests nor Inazuma and Sumeru is sitting at probably less than 10% discovery.

I hear a lot but haven't heard that. One of the others I play, Honkai (Impact not Star Rail) has characters who will make a popular appearance in the story and not become playable for YEARS.

The cloud retainer rumor came from Uncle YC (?) I think that's his name. usually I don't pay attention to the rumor mill but he's always been highly reliable.
