And the last earthquake that did ANY damage was????????instead of droughts, fires and earthquakes------sorry- I couldn't resist
Just about everyone who doesn't live in California hates on California. It's all good, we know where the best state to live in is.And the last earthquake that did ANY damage was????????
Drought is just about over.
And what state with lots of open areas doesn't have a few fires.
You just hear about them more from California because we are so much bigger than most states.
The county I live in is bigger than a handful of states, yet my county does not have 2 senators like those small states do.
Gas is moving up towards $3.00 here in Democrat controlled California.
Anti-business, anti-pollution liberal politicians here don't want any more refineries AND make the oil companies specially formulate the gas to produce less pollution that we virtually can't import any gas from neighboring states to curb our frequent shortages that drive our gas prices up, even as the price of oil falls more and more each day.
The county I live in is bigger than a handful of states, yet my county does not have 2 senators like those small states do.
He hates the Constitution.Ya lost me there
Really????If this explanation isnt the biggest piece of crap anyone has ever heard of, I dont know what is.
Look, here in California, Arnold the terminator, signed into a law that HE THOUGHT would be wonderful for raising cash in his deficit strapped administration as governor of California.
This FUEL tax continues to skyrocket our prices and per gallon, these taxes add an additional 85 cents a gallon to our prices at the pump. They will continue to skyrocket until this legislation is overturned by the state senate.
The issue ISNT adding more refineries GENIOUS, but rather, the systematic shutdown of our current refineries in a deliberate attempt to shorten the 14 day supply of oil down to less than 10 days by pretending that our current system of refining needed UNSCHEDULED REPAIRS...
This action has driven the price at the pump to an inflated price, this is by design, and not because of political direction.
There are ACTION groups all across this state protesting and demanding action from the governor.
If you knew anything about the processing of oil in california, you would know that TESORO bought the BP refineries in California and immediately scheduled them for SHUTDOWN.
This was a business move intended to drive up prices, and not bring them down...
I dont know where guys like you and the other believe the OIL companies give a crap about what you pay for a gallon of fuel, as if they would build more refineries to drive down prices that only take away profits from them.
Dont be ridiculous. Leave that to moreluck and oldgray.
TOS.
That doesn't explain our high prices....refineries are just up the freeway a bit.....I think all the additives sink us.And one must include the transportation costs , the farther you are from a refinery or a water port the more you pay .
I don't knowAre you sure those refineries are actually making your fuels ?
They could be processing fuel for other regions .
Since each refinery is set up to process a different grade of oil and each state has a different requirement for what fuels can be sold .
I dont know what is.

Really????
This link says we pay about $.15 to $.20 a gallon more than most states.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuel_taxes_in_the_United_States
But we pay $1.00 to $1.50 more for gas than most states.
Your fuzzy math and liberal logic just don't add up on this subject too.
"talking to a dungheap"Again, talking to you and brownstuff is like talking to dungheap..
The law Arnold signed, REQUIRES a tax collection of 1 billion dollars over 3 years and gas avocates argued that this will increase the cost of our gasoline by as much as 1.75 a gallon as prices fall..
Again, this is a simple math problem you fail to comprehend.
In order to get to 1 billion dollars, the tax rate has to be continually RAISED as prices go down. When the price of gas goes down, so does the collection of this tax revenue and the tax has to be raised to reach 1 billion dollars in the time frame.
This was ARNOLDS baby, and you are paying for it.
So STFU about it already. Learn about the state if you are going to comment on gas prices.
Governor Signs Complex Gas Tax Swap:
http://www.mtc.ca.gov/legisla...
On March 22, 2010, Gov. Schwarzenegger signed two major pieces of legislation that fundamentally restructure California’s system of transportation finance — AB 6 and AB 9 of the Eighth Extraordinary Session. The bills are a modified version of the Governor’s January budget proposal," which called for "the elimination of the statewide sales tax on gasoline and diesel fuels." it look like you over look some thing here? did you not. the elimination of the statewide sales tax on gasoline and diesel fuels.
Mechanics of the Tax Swap
The tax swap, contained in AB 6, affects four different taxes — the state portion of the sales tax on gasoline, the excise tax on gasoline, the state portion of the sales tax on diesel fuel, and the excise tax on diesel. Local sales taxes remain unchanged and will continue to include gasoline and diesel fuel. AB 6 contains the following key changes:
"Beginning July 1, 2010, eliminates the 6 percent statewide sales tax on gasoline", and with it, the funding source for Proposition 42 (the 2003 constitutional amendment that required most gasoline sales taxes to go to transportation) and “the spillover,” a funding formula dedicated to public transit.
Raises the excise tax on gasoline by 17.3-cen...

Well, we are paying about $.25 more a gallon because of cap and trade, which was signed into law by Gov. Arnold.Again, talking to you and brownstuff is like talking to dungheap..

Passed by a majority Democratic legislature.
But in the current situation, it is the oil/gas companies that are jacking up the prices.
Supply and demand.
No new refineries being built in California for 50 years, and unable to import gas from other states means that ANY disruption of the refining process means much higher gas prices.
Poor TOS, you just lack the intellectual ability to comprehend a very basic situation.
You got nothing but lies and insults. You should really take a class in business economics vs running around with parrot-i-tis
