  • Alder Maria Hadden, a Democrat, recently boosted a proposal by the group Native Sons that is calling for 'The People's Ordinance'
  • The ordinance would call for a ceasefire in Chicago between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.
  • They're asking for the refrain from gunshots to reduce risk to Chicagoans who are 'not involved in high risk activities'
Only 23 shot last weekend. I sure these criminals will heed the no murder times.

Chicago, like all of Illinois, has an “assault weapons” ban, a “high capacity” magazine ban, a red flag law, a 72-hour waiting period for gun purchases, and gun owner licensing. Additionally, Cook County, where Chicago is located, has its own “assault weapons” ban.

How’s that working out?

Just further proves laws are useless.

I wonder how many legally obtained guns were bought in Illinois? The ones they want to be confiscated from law abiding citizens?

Are you demanding I give you a count? Because I don’t know.

There were two gun shops from Tulsa that were supplying like 8% of the violent gun crimes in Chicago via straw purchasers. I assume you want nothing done to infringe their rights?

Never a mention of why these shootings continue week after week?

No, if they're selling to felons or anyone disqualified from ownership then prosecute them. Including anyone who obtains guns legally then sells them to criminals. Illinois has some of the strictest gun laws in the country. Enforce them. But don't punish law abiding citizens.

Most democrat bastions have draconian gun laws, but it would be racist to enforce them.
