See, I'm not like all you old people. I've part of hte internet scene for at least 10 years now. I've been with my wife for alomst 15 years now. It used to bother her more, ecpecially when we were dating, that I would spend alot of time on chat forums. I've been a member of my one forum for about 7 years now and have got to be really good friends with alot of the members. We even get together a couple times a year. She has met alot of the people that I spend my online time with and she is ok with it.
I'm sure when i joined BC in her head she was thinking, "Oh no, not another chat forum." I do regale some of the issues and anecdotes that we talk about so she is not completely left out. I like to think that if anything happens to me that she would turn the computer on and sign into the few chat forums I am a member of and let everyone know. I had a friend on my main forum that died in a car accident. No one would have ever known if his sister didn't know of his "second home". She signed on one night and broke the news to everybody. It was a heartbreaking loss for a lot of people on the board. At least we didn't just think he disappeared and just left us hanging. It truely is amazing how close you can become to people that you meet on the internet and may never actually meet in person. The people in your e-llife can become a second family.
