This is a FOX/Hannity/O'Reilly specialty. Whenever someone legitimately brings-up race as an issue, Conservatives immediately claim that the "race card" is being played. This means that they can then ignore race as a factor, at least as far as their target audience is concerned....and that's all that matters.
They have seized on 1 case of reverse racism, Black racism, or whatever one chooses to call it, and extrapolated it into a justification for everything that is done to Blacks and other minorities on a regular basis.
In other words, an outlier incident like this is used to make it seem like this is the norm, when, in fact, the fat part of the Bell Curve of Racism is Whites attacking Blacks, Mexicans, Asians etc.
I have personally heard it hundreds of times with my wife and kids, along with the sideways stares, pointing, and looks of disgust/disdain that are blatantly obvious expressions of disapproval of a mixed marriage.
