People think Sunday is the Sabbath.
Sabbath actually means Saturday.
“Religious “ minded people think Sunday is a day of rest and no work. It is not.
“Religious “ minded people all get on board with Chick-Fil-A like they are making some grand statement for God when they really aren’t after applying a little scripture.
The Sabbath is still Sunday. That never changed. Most Christians choose to worship on the Lord's Day (Sunday) instead.

There was a time when people weren't allowed to work on Sunday either. Not everywhere in every country of course but that was a common practice in much of Europe and the early colonies in America.
Doesn’t matter what people “ were “ allowed to do in times past when you dig in to why . Good intent doesn’t equal right or wrong.

Aren’t anti-woke and big $$$ programs like “He Knows Us” grooming kids to be Far Right Christians? Yeah, I think so.
In your estimation just mentioning Jesus to kids is grooming them? So by that reasoning if Christians are "grooming" kids then atheists should be allowed to groom children for sexual acts?

What part of the "he gets us" group do you feel is "hard right"?

From what I've seen it appears to be more of a center left campaign.

So, use your words, and explain what part of it you consider "far right".

Wasn't a matter of good intent. It was the law based on religious belief. Actually had enforcers going around looking for tell tell signs like smoke coming out of the chimney. You're more enlightened today. But if you lived backed then you would most likely believe that it was wrong to do anything on Sunday other than rest. Food was prepared the night before in the same way some Jews prepare food before the Sabbath. In this regard I think you're 100% right to think restricting us that way on Sunday was never commanded. But it's also an example people with extreme views of Christianity fear would happen if Christians completely took over the country. We think that's silly, they think it's likely.

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.

Blue laws were in effect when I was a kid. Not much was open on Sunday.

The religious law was based on good intent. Human law and tradition has a lot to do with good intent but many times fail to hold up under scripture.

What do you do when the powers that be say that is scriptural? If you argued against it they'd put you into the stocks for all to see and let you reflect on the error of your ways.

I was raised in a right-wing Christian household and am now an atheist. Unfortunately the groomed kids who receive mastectomies and puberty blockers won't have the same kind of choice to not be what they were raised to be in the future.
All institutions “groom” in the sense they want you to conform to their norms and values. This includes churches, charter schools and organizations Ike DeMolay, The Boy Scouts (Grooming Central) etc. “Grooming “ is just the new anti-woke buzzword.

Catholic priests have a scandal that has existed for decades and The Vatican still won’t address the problem.

“According to the Book of Exodus, the Sabbath is a day of rest on the seventh day, commanded by God to be kept as a holy day of rest, as God rested from creation.”

The Jews observed it on Friday evening through Saturday in accordance with their tradition.

And those priests should be held accountable for their actions. Doesn't change that pedophiles whether liberal or conservative, religious or not, should be held accountable.
