You can let a Teamster vote. Doesn't mean his voice will be heard.
You can give them a pre-paid envelope to return their ballot....
And 70%.... still won't vote.

I have a feeling a lot of the Hoffa cheerleaders, won't be happy by the end of this contract.
Let's see how hard you laugh when they cut your underfunded pension plan.
No. They pulled a pile of crap. They played let's make a deal. Enjoy it now, this is the best we will ever have it.The IBT did the right thing for the majority of the members.
Even if they chop the pension and raise the age? Make you pay a little more for healthcare too? This is my last contract.

Part of the problem is,everyone thought they was going to get what was promised.
They should put that on one of those motivational posters.Promises ...
I remember my wife saying she would love me forever ... now she just puts up with me.
I did see her talking to a life insurance salesman..., just saying.Promises ...

Most company(s) have already paid up front, like UPS ... It's typically the Unions that have NOT taken care of business.I agree that it sucks to devote 35 years of your life to a company with the promise of a substantial monthly pension payment only to have that dream wiped out by the realization that the company did not take care of their financial business.
It is one of the jobs of management to help others be responsible.Dave,
That's a BS question.
Trying to pit Union members against each other.... is a management tactic.
