Any particular reason you are working so late into peak before retiring
I offered to donate my spare tarps to the terminal I was at and I even told them where they could get pallets for free.
I just figured the money is good (Christmas bills etc)and could handle one more.When you know it’s the last one it’s a lot easier mentally. Thinking about three or four more is too depressing lol .

Yep. Just knowing the calendar is working in your favor makes it much easier. You look at the calendar once and your retirement day is a month away. Next thing you know it's next week, then it's tomorrow. I still have a picture of my last punch in and out on my cell phone. Great days are waiting on you when you call it quits.

I got that so called crap, by taking a college course that only dealt with the subject.
Learn the formulas and apply them to you previous post and you can prove it to yourself.
Being happy, or content, with ones own life has nothing to do with being retired, nor should any other persons opinions have any effect
on ones own sense of well being.
Now to my philosophy, everyone has two things.

Stress should not and is not part of being a courier. People that let the job stress them out need to leave the stress to managers and dispatchers.

7th peak for me
We lost Graeme Edge last week He was 80 . All that leaves is Hayward and Lodge. Never was and likely never will be a rock band that could play to and with an orchestra like the Moody's.
As far as how bad peak will be? If you noticed the discount retailers are saying that they will have plenty of inventory before and after the holidays. I wonder if what they're thinking is that a lot of Santa Claus junk won't make it into the pipeline in time and for discounters and closeout sharks it might be easy pickings.
