You're a strange little man. Who can't control others but desperately wants to.
You'll be the one who will be controlling the people where you're going because thanks to their poverty your few dollars will have them waiting on you hand and foot. Typical ugly American.

we are screwed, already heavy and ill prepared. none of the casuals they hired want to stay on-road.
Express will find a way because there might be a few conscientious employees remaining. At Ground nobody gives a rodent's expletive deleted because they are all working for greedy contractors and contract flipping speculators. As a result little in the way of a sense of duty among delivery drivers at Ground remains. A couple more disastrous peak seasons and you will see change.

Why don't you try to enjoy retirement and not worry so much? Life is too short. Gonna give yourself ulcers

I'll be buying dinner in restaurants like other patrons. I'll be staying in campgrounds like other campers. How is that controlling anyone? Again, you have a fundamental misunderstanding of life there. Like a typical ignorant American who believes everyone in the world outside of a few countries live like they do in India. Even there it isn't everyone.

Finally a clear admission on your part that you're going there purely for economic reasons. You can try if you want to make others believe that you're going there for cultural, educational or linguistic purposes and you might actually get somebody to believe it but that person won't be me.

Why must, in your view, someone go overseas for cultural, educational, or linguistic purposes? Seriously, what's the issue? Millions of Americans are overseas working for their companies. Does that make them evil? Millions of Americans have retired overseas. Does that make them evil? You act like I'm one of only a handful who are doing this and it somehow makes us greedy to do so. That we must accept that we are poor in the States and just suffer like the rest of the poor. I saw long ago that my pension plus Social Security wouldn't amount to much. But I also like to travel. I've traveled in 47 states and across Canada. Does that make me evil too? Your assertion that it's just for economic purposes doesn't account for the reading I've done about places all over the world since I was a teenager. You really don't know, you're just extremely judgemental. Why? Because you are a socialist. You think everything should be centralized in a strong government and everyone be beholden to that government. That the government decides how we live, not us. If we figure out a way to live better that's too bad in your view. Only the elites who are very important to the system get to have choices. I would hate to see the country that @bacha29 is in charge of.

Still trying to walk it back I see. Whenever you went out of country all you ever talked about was how much money you'll save by doing so. What other conclusion was the reader supposed to come to?

When I was in Kyrgyzstan I talked about being on the Silk Rd. When in Oaxaca, Mexico I talked about the climate. Of course I talked about how cheap it was in all of these places. Made it possible to stay awhile. So? I shared my plans for saving money by living cheaply as possible in order to get our home in Kansas paid off. In no way shape or form did I ever mention having people wait on me hand and foot. Believe it or not people don't come running to you acting all subservient because you're an American. If anything in the former Soviet Union they're curious why you're there when you can be in such an amazing country like the U.S.A. But other than a few fellows glaring at me in Mexico I've never felt resentment for me being there. You make a lot of assumptions. If you ever do some traveling you'll realize just how wrong you are. And there's absolutely no need to walk anything back. I'm heading to Argentina where tent camping is a very popular activity. And is very affordable. Right now a thousand USD will get you over $2100 USD worth of pesos through Western Union. Which means I can get by ok on $300 USD a month. Throw in money I pay here in the States means close to $1000 a month in savings. I've shared this before in case anyone is interested in living overseas. Don't need a lot to have a perfectly comfortable life in Buenos Aires. It's not bragging but of course you hate my politics so you're bent on twisting it every way possibly. And you think I shouldn't have the right to go here or there. I must answer to the local party chief. Freedom baby!!

After a couple of pointless sentences you immediately launch back into how much money you're saving. Give it up man. That's the reason you're there As for freedom, as long as you can get back in the states in a matter of hours and you have the US social safety network to backstop you you can experience a measure of freedom.

Why would I need to get back into the States quickly? By the way Miami to Buenos Aires is 9 hrs. From where I'll be to KS would probably need at least 24 hrs. And so what about economics? Why does that bother you so much? Of course I'm going down there to save money. Have said it all along. You're the one who is trying to make that an evil motive.

Right. You go there to take advantage of the impoverished conditions of that region but condemn those who are trying to escape those same conditions. In turn it makes you no better than they are.

Where have I condemned anyone? Are you hoping someone will read your BS without reading my posts and believe you? Weak.

Going great for me. Got all my shopping done. Finally showed Tex the screenshots of the pension increase, which he still denies exists. Tupac went into hiding because he called me out on my car that proved to be wrong. I took a road trip last week to see Skynyrd last weekend in Cajun country. Thanks for asking.
All 69 Z came with 302. Mine has the matching # 302. M22 4 speed. 373 posi rear end gear. RS option which means the Hideaway Headlights. Sweet ride.
Now STFU!

You are so right. Play golf, fish, travel, get the classic car out. That is such a terrible routine. My wife plays golf and fishes but she can't drive the Z28 because it's a manual transmission and she has never learned to drive a manual. You bragged you don't have a woman so taking marriage advice from you would be senseless.
Now STFU!
