It's hard to find road maps these days.
To you guys and girls have any tips on printing maps from the Internet or software map programs
No no it's not hard to find road maps these days. I've yet to find a county court house or county offices that don't have maps...

Some county maps are available online for free to print, but most counties have maps available like the above poster said. Usually between $20-$30 but they are well worth it, especially when you're a cover driver!

I know everywhere is different but I've never paid over $5 for a map. Usually free.

Where I spend all of my money is getting them laminated.

Don't know if this applies to your situation, but you can print the Orion route from the computers at UPS. You can print the route as a whole overview or as zoomed in detail of tight neighborhoods. It does help when running unfamiliar territory!
This is best advice especially considering areas that are currently being built and not even on internet maps yet. You'll have to show up early and know the trouble areas though.

ah, yes. he prefers to fix and update his product constantly instead of just buying good product the first time.
Isn't the idea of upgrading products constantly apple's entire business strategy?
And enjoys running antivirus and anti-malware programs weekly in addition to de-fragging hard drives periodically.
The porn industry's switch to streaming content delivery really put a dent in the spread of malicious software. I haven't used an antivirus program on my windows machines in the past decade.
De-fragging has nothing to with any of that and is a waste of time with modern hard drives.

Thank you. 20 years ago when I ran coverage there were city and county maps available in most gas stations. Times have changed.

(If you like Windows, especially the newer versions, good for you. I'm not arguing. I just happen to like and am invested in the Apple ecosystem.

Different strokes, and all.)

Doesn't seem that way. My MBP is 5 years old now and nary a problem. My sister in law has a 2006 MBP that still runs like a top.

Yep. I just put El Capitan on my MBP, and am still fooling around with it. Once I figure it out, I'm putting on the wife's 2007 iMac.

Ya, I'm sure lots of old windows and apple machines are still running strong. I think I've gotta a commodore 64 in my dad's basement that works fine. Could probably use it to print out some of those maps you old timers use lol.

I hear ya, I've used both over the years and don't really prefer one over the other, unless cost is the major factor.

Is it really that hard to find them though?
Yes, street level maps are hard to find online pr at least a couple years ago when I was a cover guy they were, and if you try to print from google maps it either won't show a large enough area or if you zoom out it stops showing the street names.
OP, best bet is go to chamber of commerce and ask for a map or go to local Barnes and Noble and buy a regional map book.

I've also had good luck at local fire stations. They've had lists of all their streets, and directions!
Example: Elm St- Take Main, left on Maple, right on Willow, left on Elm.

hey man go to your local book store like books a million or whatever and look for local county maps. even 7-11 sells them in most stores. at least where i live. sometimes they are kind of old, which can be a problem in the ever growing 'burbs, but the old main roads youre going to need for your county will be there.
