If that's the case, then this is definitely a smokescreen.
Like in the Airline, the results start with how much $$ was spent on the front end with POS airplanes, how much $$ is approved for "projects" to maximize their operability, on and on......
The new metrics definitely setup a situation where one group could potentially prosper significantly even in a year where many/most fail.

Bringing competition into what is supposed to be sharing in the company's success as a "partner" is a very bad idea. When I left the "partnership" was, at best, on life support. This will be the long overdue bullet to the brain...

Just wait - supervisors will have metrics like increasing SPORH by 500%. Grade 20+ managers will have metrics like showing up in the office by 10am. Fair is fair....

The changes aren't like that. All U.S. domestic small package will still have the same MIP. They are breaking out domestic small package, SCS, international, Etc. Into their own groups but all share a portion of total company performance.

MIP factor should be tied in with the total company performance 50/50 with stock price as to up or down on a target pivot point/price.....good stocks should double every 4 years with well run companies...I think carol is quite capable of that.

The changes aren't like that. All U.S. domestic small package will still have the same MIP. They are breaking out domestic small package, SCS, international, Etc. Into their own groups but all share a portion of total company performance.

Thank you. That makes sense. I was making a point about how historically (under Abney) Grade 20+ managers got rewarded MUCH more generously than the peons.
