It is a Union job. The same way we pay Union employees $34.60/hr to clean the toilets, empty the trash cans and wash the package cars.$20 would be a heck of pt "top rate"

Yes and $20 with pension and benefits after 4 years would be very good.It is a Union job. The same way we pay Union employees $34.60/hr to clean the toilets, empty the trash cans and wash the package cars.
Most Union jobs are not PT. The Teamsters are the only Union allowing FT jobs to transition to PT minimum wage, no benefit jobs. Just as long as the current FT Union members are making $36.19/hr to deliver an Amazon box to someones front door. Could you imagine what the UAW would say to Ford if they make such a proposal?Yes and $20 with pension and benefits after 4 years would be very good.
Name any other job union or not that would equal that working part time.
Yeah dude, that is all we deliver. Amazon. Whatever. Most Union jobs are not PT. The Teamsters are the only Union allowing FT jobs to transition to PT minimum wage, no benefit jobs. Nobody gets paid $36.19/hr to deliver an amazon box. Most Union jobs are not PT. The Teamsters are the only Union allowing FT jobs to transition to PT minimum wage, no benefit jobs. Just like PT deserve what they get because they do not vote.Yeah dude, that is all we deliver. Amazon. Whatever.
That line is getting old fast.
I could have sworn those packages I deliver were from Amazon.Nobody gets paid $36.19/hr to deliver an amazon box.
My building has a buncha Guatemalans to clean the toilets and empty trash cans. I don’t think they pay dues, and probably don’t make much.It is a Union job. The same way we pay Union employees $34.60/hr to clean the toilets, empty the trash cans and wash the package cars.
Ups (at least non hubs are a very unique situation. At my center there's virtually no work from 9 am til 5pm then from 9pm to 4:30 am. There simply has to be a large part time workforce here to run efficiently. Most Union jobs are not PT. We have one guy come in for a few hours every day.My building has a buncha Guatemalans to clean the toilets and empty trash cans. I don’t think they pay dues, and probably don’t make much.
You said a pkg from amazon before. Now you are saying packages.I could have sworn those packages I deliver were from Amazon.
Then why don't you Unionize them so they can start paying dues?My building has a buncha Guatemalans to clean the toilets and empty trash cans. I don’t think they pay dues, and probably don’t make much.
No one receives that you have to work a full 8 hrs on 1 shift I believe. You can work 2 separate shifts. I may be wrong but we'e complained about this before and they took away all over timeThere is a top PT pay rate and it is $35.65/hr for sort qualified and $34.60/hr for unskilled jobs.
Some of those girls are very attractive, I’ve been tryin to more than unionize them....Then why don't you Unionize them so they can start paying dues?
Amazon is most of the heavy bulky bs I deliver anymore. Not like it's all letters.Yeah dude, that is all we deliver. Amazon. Whatever.
That line is getting old fast.
You got me. Of course for me it is delivering 1 Amazon misload to 1 address. Work smarter, not harder. You said a pkg from amazon before. Now you are saying packages.
In the real world it’s about 240 stops 390 packages.
Which is what the company is proposing by turning FT delivery jobs into lower wage Art 22.3 jobs. Of course it would shore up the pension for the older employees. Just like a pyramid scheme. We have one guy come in for a few hours every day.
I'm all for adding that job to the preload shift and creating an article 22 job. I bet they could create a lot of them nationwide.

Amazon is most of the LIB's that can't fit on the package cars that the air drivers deliver for top driver rate. At about 2 or 3 stops an hour. Now the company wants to turn my job into an Art 22.3 job at a reduced pay rate.Amazon is most of the heavy bulky bs I deliver anymore. Not like it's all letters.
