There way I see the pt to ft wage difference is like saying a package car or feeders driver should make half of what a a full time driver makes because he only works half the time even though he' doing the exact same job. I think they should pay part timers the same as a full time inside worker but they just should cut everyone out at 4 hrs a day and leave it at that. Also they should only pay ot for after 8 hrs instead of 5 since they would be making more

We would better achieve this goal by giving larger pay raises to higher seniority part timers, rather than give these big raises to low seniority (or no seniority) part timers.

Here at Worldport they do. You don't even have to sign up. You just show up at midnight and go to whatever building you want. It's been open to the district for nearly three years now. That's how bad the situation is. UPS and the union massively screwed up in the 2012 contract. I hope they have finally realized they can't get away with being cheap again.

Most pters don't even make it long enough to get benefits the amount that make it to get vested into the pension is even lower

Yes! And then the pension banks that money from the employee that doesnt vest, and it helps the next years pension increase for the rest of us.

In some cases depending on when you went FT it would be 3 checks....for now.
