TV on all night....woke up hearing Rahm Emmanuel say because of "sanctuary city", you are safe in Chicago. Has he seen the murder statistics lately?
Remember The Hunchback of Notre Dame.......only churches offered sanctuary.
Just because you are a sanctuary, you are still under Federal Laws.........it's just that the citizens won't help the Federal gov't enforce the law.

The situation is much more nuanced than you think.
Here in MA, cops don't feel that they should be doing the Federal government's job.
In the absence, over decades, of meaningful immigration reform on a Federal level, to ask the states to turn their police into an arm of ICE is ridiculous.
As well, cops up here realize that cooperation from the undocumented community vis-a-vis crime on the ground is more important than reporting undocumented individuals to the Feds.
Obama tried to implement that years ago, and cops around the nation basically said, "K, no".
Like most things, it's not binary.

Pretty sure that the cops get the 'the ones they want' off the street.
Trump says a variety of stuff, you like Trump, so you defend him, even though he has no plan, no clue, no idea.
