California SB 54, one of the three challenged state laws, prohibits state and local police agencies from notifying federal officials in many cases when immigrants potentially subject to deportation are about to be released from custody.
Immigrant Worker Protection Act, AB 450, which prohibits businesses from voluntarily sharing information about workers with federal immigration agents. The law also requires that employers alert workers if their records are going to be inspected by federal officials.

Orange County, California, Supervisor Michelle Steel joined Neil Cavuto on "Your World" Thursday to react to some cities and counties pushing back against the state's sanctuary law.
Members of the Los Alamitos City Council voted Monday to opt out of the California Values Act, which limits cooperation between local police and federal immigration agents.
In light of the council’s move, officials in Orange County and the cities of Aliso Viejo and Buena Park also have considered rejecting sanctuary policies.
Steel, who announced Tuesday that she will present an anti-sanctuary ordinance to the Orange County Board of Supervisors, said she's received lots of support from the community.
