That really is a bitter pill for me. Want to retire now, but my retiree health insurance is the pits. The plant maintenance and mechanics in my building have Retiree Teamcare. And a better Pension to boot. One Company- 50 different pension plans. Makes 0 sense to me

Umm...

Your bad decisions, should reflect on other members ?

The reason you are in this predicament is because Old guard Teamsters administer these certain funds and make anywhere in the amount of $80,000 to as high up as 200,000. This is a prime example of why you are going to be locked out of Teamcare. Money

No, just bad decisions on the part of Teamsters. Any other way to describe the difference in pension amounts? You are the people I really hate. You don’t know the answer, just attack the person. I saved my money. The teamsters said they were doing the same for me... Are you sure you are not in management?

Bribe the Part-Timers to pass poor Full-Time language?
I never said that. I love how people put the words in your mouth. I'm very careful with what I type. You can go back and read through it all. I never said that. A lot of the proposals were to give the part times what they DESERVE. Sean was all for this when the initial proposals were gone through. Sean wanted the Part Timers situation fixed. All I said was that the playing field would be leveled out. Other than that, you are up again.

Let me add for arguments sake. The plant maintenance and mechanical in my building make what I make. Two different Unions. Same contribution by Ups. They receive almost $1500 more a month than Teamsters. I know for a fact, I was on 2 Executive boards, my amounts are correct

Thank you.
No problem, thank you for being respectful in these trying times. You will have your chance, very soon to review everything, and make your own decision. I never for the record SAID, I was in the know, people just read my posts and assume I do, because my information has substance. Brothers disagree sometimes, but are still brothers. Even though I don't agree with all of your statements at the end of the day, I presume you are a teamster, and that makes you my brother, along with Fred, Sean, Rome Hogfa, and anyone else I forgot to mention. Lets see what there is and then make our decision. I never said this is a good, bad or in the middle contract. I clearly stated that it has things to offer the members.

20 years ago the mechanics union used to get nearly double what a driver got. But now I think all their raises go into their pension and it’s reduced. They have no early retirement, so they have to work 10-15 years longer. Somebody correct me if I’m wrong.

30 and out in my area. And yes, they make in retirement just about what they made working. I have saved my money, doesn’t mean I want the Teamsters to squander what they said the were saving for me..

Weve had a few retire in the last few years. They said they wasn't going to make that much less by not working.
I thought they used to make more when they retired. Can they retire before age 65? If I had to wait until 65, my pension, at today’s rate would be 100k.

Starting wage is a waste of time.

I will agree with this. And I’ve always said (in shop) to wait until you see the actual language before forming a decision.
