Is it the responsibility of Americans to provide jobs to foreigners? Letting in so many so fast put huge strains on the safety net intended to help our own poor. It also ate up a lot of FEMA funds that were diverted. Letting in so many unvetted also resulted, and is an ongoing issue, in a huge spike in crime including rapes and murders. Democrats certainly didn't let them in because they care so much about the world's poor. It was a cynical attempt to give the Democratic Party an insurmountable edge in elections. And when Laken Riley's mother and sister were recognized at the State of the Union address the Democrats refused to stand. Laken Riley, remember her? Georgia college student raped and murdered by an illegal immigrant who had a long criminal history. You sneer at Christians while turning a blind eye to the damage being done. Seriously, do you have no shame?

the balance of powers in that constitution you use to make such an argument allows congress the power of the purse. this includes the right to object to such use if they disagreed with it. Since this is a different congress with a different viewpoint and they are allowing the executive to do so it appears all is constitutionally as it should be.

The Bible is an extremely inconsistent book. Its teachings are all over the place, and you can use different passages to mean opposite things all of the time.

Except for with immigrants and sojourners. It really, really, likes them and constantly tells people to help them. It is almost entirely unambiguous, making it one of the easiest biblical teachings to recognize.

U.S. Christians do a terrible job at following their own scripture.
