If you're organizing, participating, and breaking the law then the government has every right to say your green card status is a privilege, not a right, and revoke that status and deport you.

And there wasn't just one protest. At all of them there was property destruction, assaults, and physical threats. So as an organizer of those protests, which he participated in, he doesn't have every protection afforded citizens. He can be deported.
