Whatever happened with the GameStop revival? Did those stocks ever boom to the moon like all the hype was saying?

@Over70irregs did you ever get in to that?
😞 why you call me out? I’m still bag holding in that one……. Low blow bro. That hurts…

The sad part is that every school will be wanting an essay from their students about Carter.
I pity all those kids.
It was bad enough living thru his administration.

Jimmy Carter

Jimmy Carter had really big teeth. My great grandfather did not like him because he and everyone was laid off. Carter told everyone who was cold in the winter to wear a sweater. Prices were sky high and people waited in long lines to get gas. The president's brother drank beer, lots of beer. A rabbit attacked Carter and he collapsed during a marathon. Things got much better for the country after Carter lost the 1980 election in a landslide.

No things did not get better after 1980. Please insert whichever PRESIDENT accordingly.

Lol, tell that to my old man who went from being laid off along with many others he knew, to to having money in his pocket.

Fact: The Carter years sucked. He was a disaster. The election of 1980 tells you all you need to know.
The up to right tells the story. Remember your old man was not aware of unit bias. In his 🧠 he had more money. But realistically he had ⬇️ buying power. He was not wrong. The answer was print more thats all they did.

We also had poorly built cars back in the 70's. Look around. Our cars today, our clothes, communications(phones, tv's, computers)are all better than in the 70's. We had more "productivity" then because we produced more then. Most of that went offshore and service jobs became the norm. But I lived through the 80's. Not about what I felt in my heart. We had it better than in the 70's. Topped off by the fall of the Soviet Union in the early 90's. Felt like the sky was the limit. But we also had the rise of the 401k. Companies trying to cash in on the stock market by eeking out more and more profit to satisfy Wall Street. Often at employees' expense. I will agree with @rickyb that capitalism can be cutthroat. Lean and mean. It's the price we pay for efficient markets that provide our needs. But if our politicians aren't responsible, print too much money and throw it around, then efficient markets mean little when government caused inflation makes everything more expensive than it should be.

dude everything is not better today than the past.

video games expire after less than 10 years. video game systems break more easy. appliances break more easy. i think cars ARE more reliable.

no you didnt have more productivity then :S

you have monopolies now. this is one sign of an efficient market.
