The only time you see DJ now-a-days is as an announcer on the Busch races....certainly a no-show for Nextel races..

One of the big reasons Dale decided to leave Yates racing for Waltrip racing was he was looking for every sunday off.

with the ups 100 anniversery party today maybe dale will be there seeing as how he did not make the race.

I just read piece in the 7/07 edition of Speedway Illustrated...............

DJ's been through 11 crew chiefs since 2002......
DJ has led 7,050 career laps, BUT just 32 laps since the 2004 Daytona 500.

Maybe he's in the Central States pension fund and can't retire.

Maybe they have been replacing the wrong person!
32 laps in 122 races. That's sad!
