If the Amazon Driver was surprised by what the FDX driver made, Amazon Driver probably would die hearing what a UPS driver makes.

He would’ve asked to be adopted. A retired UPS driver makes almost what a FedEx driver makes.

I’m pretty sure most Amazon drivers know what UPS pays. I was walking my dog once and passed a parked Amazon driver. He was on his phone but he greeted me and I asked how things were going for him. He told me that he was on the phone with UPS.
A couple of younger guys at my station are actively pursuing UPS jobs.

It has been my experience, and that of other people I have known; that when applying at UPS it is probably a good idea NOT to let them know you have experience working for a competitor.
Maybe times and attitudes have changed. And YMMV.
