I think I read where he was over 300 pounds and that golden chariot thing they were carrying him in didn't look all that light either.8 guys could carry around a Jeep.
Jackie didn't weight quite that much.

How much of the membership's money are they wasting on this free vacation?
Great Optics having a Convention during a Pandemic.
Anyone remember the year they carried Jackie Presser into the convention in one of those Egyptian things that was carried by slaves back in the day? For some reason that video seems to have disappeared from Youtube.
Less fancy shows. Less dues.
Steak and lobster and hookers for everyone at those conventions.
Most upser's have no interaction with anything union related. The leadership likes it that way.
It's time UPS withdrew from the Teamsters and became our own union.
I think that has already been tried.
Hope this helps.
There isn't any "mob" influence now?Vacation ?
Have you ever been to that smilet hole ?
Uh....
There is no convention going on.
The Teamsters were more powerful, when there was all the "mob" influence.

UPS people think they are the "only" Teamsters on the planet.
A $75.00 a day per diem.... covers food.... in Vegas ?
Try having lunch, when 5000 other Teamsters are trying to do the same thing.
Nothing is stopping them.
The company knows who the pusillanimous are.
A couple of goofball feeder drivers tried that....

Does anything get accomplished at these things or is it just a big strange party?
Do they discuss why only 3 LTL companies are organized out of the 50 or so companies or the amazon threat to UPS.
Could of had those "tough guys" passing out teamster pamplets at a non union warehouse or trucking company.
That’s 2011It looks like they put on quite the show. Start this video at about 1:00
I love when clueless people try and talk about organizing. I'll tell you what man. How about you get involved and find out what's really going on.Does anything get accomplished at these things or is it just a big strange party? Do they discuss why only 3 LTL companies are organized out of the 50 or so companies or the amazon threat to UPS. Is there actual footage of what goes on at these from the video I saw looks like they hired a bunch of "tough guys" on motorcycles to drive around in an auditorium. Could of had those "tough guys" passing out teamster pamplets at a non union warehouse or trucking company.
And that's why you join the union....protection(whatever that means)....and representation(a good thing). You can’t just withdraw from the union. You would have to decertify for one year before bringing in a union. That means one year non-union. Lol. You want to see people cry go one year with no union at ups. A lot of the union haters would be crying for the teamsters to come back. Then you would see ups clean house on the dead beat employees. Then of course you would pay for your health insurance like management does and take a serious pay cut. That is a prime example of “be careful what you ask for”
My Bro in Law worked for AT&T(hourly). They offered him a lump sum payout. I would LOVE that!
This. I see some employees that see themselves as persons with stellar work ethic while shaking their heads at "lazy" people. Its ironic because these supposed top tier employees are just as lazy as everyone else, they just complain more. They would be first in line to decertify the union and first in line to bring back the teamsters. What a joke. You can’t just withdraw from the union. You would have to decertify for one year before bringing in a union. That means one year non-union. Lol. How do you identify? Conservative Republican? Tea party? And that's why you join the union....protection(whatever that means)....and representation(a good thing).
But then, my politics are polar opposite 180 degrees from Democrat run Teamsters.
IF the union ever goes away(and I believe it will), UPS as we know it will not exist. Will it continue/survive? Probably.
Question is: what happens to the pension?

He's thinking he could.dig himself out of debt with itIsn't a "lump sum payout" typically "pennies on the dollar" and taxed heavily?
Roll it over to an IRAIsn't a "lump sum payout" typically "pennies on the dollar" and taxed heavily?
