You guys need to do a little more research about the politics that actually affect your jobs. Trump and his cronies enabled the entire nation of public sector employees as “right to work” with this Supreme Court coup. Believe what you want, but at least take a look at what is actually happening.

Doesn’t matter who is in the White House or any other position of authority, from day one the world system has been run by egotistical A-Holes. Most of our members will be voting on our economy and it is currently a mess, both Washington and these Corporate Boards will still stereotype Teamsters as uneducated manual workers or “the help”.

The elites run this country whether they live in China, the Middle East or sit on these College or Corporate Boards. They will only look out for their best interests, they don’t associate with the lower class (poor to middle class) which happens to be most of us.

The NLRB and the DOL were effectively neutered decades ago under the watch of Democrats snd Republicans. They have no authority to do anything because of money talks in Washington and nothing will change that.

O’Brien meeting with Trump is a positive considering his opponent is floundering in the polls. The state of our economy will always be the number one issue with middle America the rest of the crap means nothing. We will always be part of the working class, most of us don’t care about DEI, Sexual References or abortion rights. We are members of a body that is pretty much Male, White and Manual Workers, we vote accordingly whether in the General Election or the presidential one. It is delusional to think most of will be voting for Biden in November because our leadership says so. O’Brien knows this, he is just covering his bases.

Wally, you’re not that dumb. How does losing dues paying members not affect our jobs? Did you read and comprehend what the Janus decision was?
That is a public sector union. Different animal. Years after the decision, most remain in the union by choice.

We work in the private sector and half the states give our employees the right to opt out of the union, and yet we just won a "historic contract".

You should go back and try to figure out your pension again pal. The teamsters represent many public sector employees right here in NJ. Not a different animal at all. Members opt out and freeload for representation, much like the citizens that you despise collecting welfare.

How many are actually opting out?

The NJ public unions own Trenton. Many of it's membership disagree with it's politics.

Remember this?

ATLANTIC CITY -- The state's largest teachers union went all in on its bid to push out state Senate President Stephen Sweeney, spending more than $5 million to help defeat the powerful Democrat in his home district.

Why? Because he dare go against union leadership and work with the other side and fix the pension problem.

By the way, the NJEA union leadership put themselves in a better, more secure pension plan! They must really care!

Highest property taxes in the nation, most of it going to schools, many of them failing!

Sweeney getting removed cost a lot of Teamster jobs in construction. What’s your point? BTW, the teachers and cops pension problem is far from fixed, and it destroyed healthcare costs for public sector employees as well.

It's fixed for union leadership, so dont worry.

NJEA Leadership Made Sure Their Own Pensions Were Very Rich and Very Secure The NJEA leadership made sure that their own pension plan (“NJEA Leadership’s Plan”) is a very sound and very generous pension plan.2 Like TPAF, the NJEA Leadership’s Plan is a defined benefit plan, meaning that the NJEA guarantees the pay out of pension benefits, just as the state does for TPAF. But the NJEA Leadership’s Plan is subject to the federal Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), which requires that pension plans be adequately funded.
