Management by stress

Oh Yeah
After you do this job for a while, you have to have the attitude that you just don't give a dam about their fakeazz numbers and their little bitchazz girly bitching. Its about you and finishing the race in 1 piece. Everything else don't matter. You have to be as selfish as they are, only way the game is played and only way you win.

True that brother. Hell the quicker they bury you, the quicker they can replace you. If you grind people out early, then that's a lot less pensions to fund.

Good your catching on Youngblood to their games. They have every intention on doing everything they can do for you not to make it to retirement. That's the strategy they have without them actually telling that to your face. Pretty blatantly obvious they hate their employees don't ya think? LOL.

It's only stressful if YOU allow it to be stressful. Learned that after talking with the senior drivers early in my UPS career.

It's only cardboard. The stupidity and disappointment seems to blend in day-to-day, once adjusted to the maladapted work environment and management decisions.

" She had a hard time one day and pulled the stop cord several times. The next day management literally focused attention on her. Several management officials observed and they set up a video camera to record her work. She found herself working further and further into the hole. She got too far past her station and fell off the end of the platform and injured her ankle. They told her it was her fault--she didn't pull the stop cord when she fell behind. "

Is this UPS to a "T" or what!

All well and good, until you have to replace someone or the system gets overloaded, or God help us an ice storm. I remember when PAS was to allow the company to train new employees in 2 days to load a truck. The jobs at UPS are becoming so complicated that finding workers who can qualify is more difficult than ever.

The system being overloaded is the goal!

I just love how when they give you an eleven hour day in the morning. You tell them right from the start you will be out till 8:30-9:00 and they laugh. Later in the day they ask for your eta and you respond 9:00 and suddenly it becomes a major issue and the will get you help when in the morning it could have all been avoided by not giving you 20 extra stops. The next day, rather than fixing the problem, they will nit pick and it is your fault you were over dispatched. There is such a level of fear at all levels of UPS that if is a small wonder there hasn't been a tragic incident.
