I disagree. Representing California basically requires a liberal voting record or risk a primary from the left. She’s seen first hand that moderation is a stronger platform for national level primaries. I don’t think she has strong convictions and will follow what the voters want which is center left.No, I think it's great that she was tough on crime as a prosecutor. But let's not kid ourselves into thinking that it tempers her hard left voting record in the Senate.
Kamala isn't going back to the days of moderation and being tough on crime. She'll do everything she can to help Democratic voters forget about when she was. Why? Because there's nothing for her there in today's political climate and political party. She'd have as much success with it in 2020 as I would if I were running as a Democratic candidate for Senate.
So yes, we should judge her more on her time as a US Senator.
