We had Dems on this forum say in the past that the Constitution is antiquated. Which it isn't of course but now they're clinging to it in an attempt to keep tens of millions here illegally from being deported. When due process was enshrined in the Constitution there was no concept that a major political party would ignore both the Constitution and immigration law and let in millions, then try to claim due process rights to keep them here forever.

I don't think this article is talking about deporting Americans. Believe it's saying if we don't give illegal aliens due process on their immigration status, then eventually even citizens may lose their due process rights on various criminal matters. No processing us in, no bail hearing, no court trial, just grab us and imprison us. It truly is a fear tactic.

anonymous judges on both sides make the authoritarian extremism warning. who knew strong leadership traits by trump were so threatening. Do you want a strong shepherd that protects your from the wolves or a weak one that watchs you become breakfast.

Economic inequality does not necessarily lead to authoritarianism; strong democratic institutions, rule of law, and equitable policies can mitigate disparities while preserving freedom
