The central states pension was always envied at my local, and look what happened, they had there pension cut in half, and my pension is better! Someone screwed up! In my opinion, pensions should be THE number one priority for the next union president! If our pay is the same nationally why don’t we have a uniform pension?

Sure is but some areas diverted raises (on more than one occasion) to try to save the mismanaged pension funds.

The 1.9 trillion dollar bill they passed in March had a 81 billion bail out for multi employer teamsters pension funds. Just google it

Like when Dave was bragging about his Upstate NY plan but suddenly got very quiet when his pension took a big hit?

I'm in the same fund. It was on a collision course for years but the trustees continued to bury their heads in the sand. If you dared to bring it up during a union meeting and possible ways of rectifying the situation, you were almost tarred and feathered. Oh well.

Oh it happened! My fund in New England was listed as Critical failing. You best believe I followed that bill! Teamsters don’t even have to pay it back. Funds them for 30 years. Hoffa was raving about it

I can’t tell if they received it yet, it passed in March and the idiot signed it in June I think,so they’re probably in the process.
