Some people blame that on unions for overpricing the labor to make said items, other say it's the big business's wanting more money on their bottom line to insure their own jobs. Car manufacturers going under while the news blames the unions doesn't help.

Yeah, that's such an inaccurate assessment that the media propagates, considering there is hardly double digit union membership in America, it's logically not possible that WE are the cause of the high price of goods. UPS is a perfect example for an American to earn a middle class living (sorry for part-timers if that isn't the case), and UPS still profiting handsomely.

AND for our government working brothers & sisters, they are one of the last remaining holdouts that DIDN'T cave like the private sector unions have. SO don't hate the government worker for keeping what the private sector unions let go.

Your not going to make this country a better place to live by racing to the bottom (ie bringing our wages down to make you feel better about your low paying job, join a union!)

If they were truly concerned about the chemicals being inhaled they would outlaw smoking cigarettes??? Cancer #2 cause of death in the US. Lung cancer #1 killer among lung cancer. Cigarettes are the biggest cause of lung cancer. Cigarettes are heavily taxed. Smokers vote.

It's about whatever gets the most votes, not whats in the peoples best interest.
