NBC has made official what we all knew was coming. Brian Williams has been permanently removed as the anchor for the NBC Nightly News. His new role will be as a breaking news anchor on MSNBC and he will occasionally do the same on the NBC Nightly News. Lester Holt has been named the permanent anchor.
