do you think it’s possible to get a letter for calling off a couple days around New Years, like the day before and day after?
Do you have to schedule when you're sick? They give you a letter, tell them to prove you weren't sick.
On a side note, do you guys not lose holiday pay for calling out before a holiday?

Worked with a senior courier who for about 5 years got "injured" just before Peak. Actually retired while out on injury. Can't see getting a letter but you will lose credibility with your coworkers and managers. You never know when you will need a favor and they will remember your sick days. We have people that always call in sick around holidays and are usually out of sick days by Thanksgiving. Nobody is willing to swap vacation days or help them get off early because they always cause hardships on their coworkers.

If it's only 1 day, no note..no letter..no pay for the holiday. 2 days a note is required anyway.

You learn quickly who not to listen to.Learning a lot of new things from this thread lol. So you lose the holiday and the day you called in?
Haven't ever used that. Are you billed like a doctors visit? You can just chat with a Live Health Online doctor on your phone and they will email a doctors note.
