love your neighbour does not mean be responsible for 6th mass extinction

justice for the oppressed. the oppressed are most likely to be affected by global warming

sabbath rest

stewardship of creation - we are responsible for the earth.
It's not about saving the planet. Never was. It's an angle to replace capitalism with socialism.

what is?

jesus is not a capitalist either. its too oppressive and makes too many poor people. so does govt run everything.
The poor in the U.S. are much, much better off than the poor in developing countries. The countries that became independent with the break up of the Soviet Union were desperately poor and are slowly coming out of that with capitalism. Capitalism means accountability and efficiency.

@vantexan the poor in the United States probably don’t even have anything more than the iPhone 14 at best, how are they supposed to live without the newest iPhone? They also probably suffer with only 55 inch TV in every room when everyone knows 75 inch is for rich people!! Those greedy capitalist!!!

life expectancy is not better depending on the country.

capitalism has nothing to do to with accountability or efficiency

Our population lives as long as anyone else. It's the early deaths from violence and drug abuse that brings our expectancy down. And if you aren't accountable and efficient as a corporation you don't stay in business long.

i think the local propaganda news just did a segment on food banks having to cut back what they hand out here because theyre running out.
In America, the vast majority of people who are poor are poor by choice. And it’s generational meaning it passed on to kids that don’t know any better. Many of them with an addiction issue of some sort. That’s what truly holds people back in America their own demons and vices. I didn’t say they would be rich, but they would definitely not be broke.

i agree its generational because i recall reading comparisons by EPI on america's class mobility vs other countries.

but i dont think most people are choosing to be poor. the economy changed. its debt and low paying service sector jobs intead of manufacturing.

People die from all kinds of things. We have a diabetes and obesity epidemic. But stay in shape, avoid drugs and dangerous neighborhoods, and you're likely to live into at least your 80's. I live in Central Florida. There are 80 and 90 somethings all over the place.
