225 miles is a lot. at most people will go 180 miles a day. and if they cant, suck it.

you know people didnt always have cars. jesus doesnt want us to trash the planet and for us to devolve into barbarism.

the planet has warmed 1.5 degrees.

the govt can either get serious and invest in batteries / transit or face hell on earth. its an easy choice.
Again, 225 miles is only under optimal conditions. I have an ebike, did a lot of research, and manufacturers always list mileage in the best light possible. And very few are going to give up their warm car in the winter to ride a bike. But hey, buy that ebike and show us how it's done.

I'm not against ebikes Ricky. Why do you think I bought one? To get around without a car someday. But it's not about saving the planet. And it's not for everyone. I can see some buying a good used car to use when needed, like in bad weather or on longer trips, and using the ebike for local errands to save on gas.

an e bicycle for 225 miles. you wont have to worry about battery pretty soon. if the govt invested more in battery tech, we'd have better batteries.
You don't seem to understand. If the government thought it was a viable idea. They'd already turned all military equipment to battery. But they haven't and they won't. Instead they have vehicles that can run for months and don't have to refuel them .

the govt doesnt necessarily implement policies which are viable ideas.

doesnt matter. youre going to have nothing if you keep burning oil. standards of living will fall as the world heats up and prices rise.
How will standards of living rise without oil? It's in everything. It's not just about cars. By the way, what are all your buses going to run on?

improved tech.

we got some electric buses in the neighbourhood now i just saw it the other day.

standards will fall if we keep using oil because of global warming and inflation that comes with it.
