see @rod, you think you know the matrix, been watching MADD ads all these years, and yet they dont advocate for public transit, the obvious solution to drunk driving
I live in a area that basically has no public transportation other than a couple of busses that you have to make arrangements to ride on the day before and they only go to a few places.

Public transit only works in condensed high population areas. If you have to drive to get to public transit it defeats the purpose. Unless you are working someplace like downtown where parking is difficult.

if you drive for 5 minutes and take public transit for 40 minutes it does not defeat the purpose but no car would be better. you still have 40 minutes to surf the web instead of not crashing your car.

btw when i google ireland and pick different locations across the country to galway it looks like you can take public transit anywhere to that city. its not as fast as a car, sometimes its pretty close like within 10 minutes. so i dont know if your theory holds up. economist richard wolff says public transit is the true solution.

we wasted a ton of money subsidizing big oil

minister oldngray, weve undergone an orgy of consumption

if we follow the bible and are honest, then we know the truth that this system has failed, and we are dominated by government, car companies, and oil

Dominated by government and you want to give the government more power to even limit your mobility?

i forget which industries should be made public but im pretty sure oil should be public only.

i dont think we will have a mass free transit system that is private. probably gotta be govt run.

Government has no money of its own. Free just means someone else pays for it.

Well, this week I was able to donate my 2008 Tacoma to Wounded Warriors.
Called them on Tuesday and their tow truck arrived on Thursday.
On Weds. I went to look at a 2021 Tacoma with a 6 foot bed.
Bought it and drove home with it on Friday.
If anyone asked me if I got a new truck, my reply is " It's amazing what a little bodywork and fresh paint can do. "
Both vehicles are the same color and both have a 4 banger, except the 2021 has an automatic.

Now I'm busy ordering bulbs to upgrade all front lights to LED.
Next will be bed cover, loud horns, trailer hitch but the rear LED lights upgrade is out of stock.
Might be available come June.
