they have manual releases, lol.

An ICE car is 60X more likely to catch fire than an ev
You make it sound like it's inevitable that an ICE car will go up in flames. They almost never do. Until you solve the charging station numbers issue, and develop fast charging that'll get you a few hundred miles after ten minutes or so of charging, most people won't trust EV's to not leave them stranded. The smart thing would be to require plug in hybrids, which have a bigger battery than standard hybrids. Most people in metro areas could run around on just electric but not only have the gas backup but can use it for longer trips.

Yet, the EV vehicle fires need 100 times more fire fighting liquids to be extinguished.
If possible it's best to let the lithium battery burn out in a controlled area while preventing the fire from spreading.

Super chargers get you to 80% in 15 minutes, that's 200+ miles. I didn't make anything sound any way, just telling you stats. The charging network is pretty good and getting better. Haters gonna hate though. Not sure how many "few hundred miles" of daily driving you do.

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.

Waste of money, trade in value sucks. Then there’s always the problem of discarding those toxic batteries. And hopefully those chargers work when you find one. Hopefully no wait either.

If I'm on a road trip I'd likely do 600-700 miles some days. Why the push to have EV's with very large batteries when a PHEV will meet the needs of most daily drivers with the gas engine as backup and longer trips? Personally I prefer the standard hybrid but if you're wanting fulltime electric use a PHEV is more than enough for most people most of the time and doesn't use near the resources needed to build an electric only EV.

I'm not sure about hating, but I still love my gas driven vehicle. I get over 500 miles on a full tank and takes just a few minutes to filler up.
