It wasn't directed at you bud...and I'm not upset with anyone or UPSinsider. It is a bit insulting to think that I didn't think that we have to exit trailers. It's more to drive the point. 1910.36 is for the construction of exits. The OSHA act of 1970 is the more appropriate article to file under. If you file under 1910.36 you lose. If you file under OSHA Act of 1970, you win. That's all I'm trying to get across.

In the context of 1910.36 a trailer door doesn't qualify as a properly constructed exit. It's too high off the ground so it's a violation under the intended context of 1910.36. Now, maintaining egress under OSHA Act of 1970 states you must maintain an egress to get to the proper 1910.36 constructed exit doors. I hope that clears up where I stand with this. I'm not saying your wrong for the egress, I'm saying you're misinterpreting 1910.36 for the argument.
