When you're the state that is the 13th most dependent on federal dollars and you're getting $1.46 in federal dollars for every $1.00 you pay in why would you even need a state income tax?
I know you love to knock Red states but Red states have two things that account for a lot of the Federal spending. Very large minority populations and a lot of military bases. So take it up with the Feds.

Your big concern about thousands of blue state employees losing jobs to red states is that the red state governors might say they created those jobs.

I can't imagine being such so miserably partisan.
Right. And GOP politics has zero to do with greasing the skids for Big Businesses. Get real.

So just exactly how does a Red state's minority population effect federal spending. Every state has a minority population including donor states such as New York, Delaware New Jersey.

Big Business is skewing so far to the left that it's about to fall off the spectrum. Have you been living under a rock for the last few years? Bud Light and Nike and I've lost count of who else are glorifying lefty causes like there's no tomorrow, and Disney is mad because GOP FL isn't giving it special treatment.

It's 2023.

And terrible leadership, let’s not forget that.
The list of fastest growing states is dominated by red states, and blue collar jobs are migrating from blue states to red states.

I don't know how much longer those red state can survive.

“What about this? What about that?”
A recent blog post from the National Association of Realtors breaks down the newest migration data from the U.S. Census Bureau. Florida, Texas, and the Carolinas—all red states that lean Republican—experienced the biggest influx of new domestic residents (people moving in from other places within the United States), while New Jersey, Illinois, New York, and California—longtime blue states that lean Democrat—lost the most people.

Clearly, red states' leadership must be horrible. Just atrocious.

Ergo, the Red President allowing the influx of replacement citizens/voters to maintain the status quo.

Right. vantexan blames the minorities for Red State problems. Obviously, it's White legal migrants causing all of the failures. Shocking. Close those borders.

Who is blaming anyone for anything? He always brings up Federal spending in Red states. Where do you think the Federal spending goes? Assistance programs and military bases. Not a matter of blame, just the reality.

Now that millions of illegals are being let in and are being shipped to a lot of Blue state cities the Federal spending numbers may be shifting. Those people have to eat and have shelter. Literally millions of people who don't have jobs, speak little if any English. This is your party's doing and yours alone. The money that could've been spent for an effective wall pales in comparison.

Again, Red states have very large minority populations, often with high poverty rates within those populations. A lot of Federal assistance. Then there are all the military bases. You focused on Tennessee. Ever hear of Oak Ridge, TN? Huge amount of Federal spending there.

By the way California at one time was very Republican. Republican businessmen built that huge economy. Liberals moving in eventually had the numbers politically to take over and they wanted to share all that wealth. Whatever good intentions there were when that all started has turned California into what it is today and it's leading the nation in the most of its citizens leaving for better conditions elsewhere.

So the bigots are flocking to states with bigots in charge. This isn’t really the own you think it is.

Or could be that crime has gotten so bad and taxes so high that those with means are leaving for better conditions. Not everyone who goes to Florida or Texas are conservative Republicans(i.e. your definition of bigot). Do you think that if crime has greatly escalated where you live, and you have the means to leave and protect your family, you should stay just to prove you aren't a bigot? Millions have retired to Florida for the warm winters for decades. Are they all bigots?

Red States are the Loser States full of white folks living off of their "entitlements". Your explanation of California is simply your stilted opinions devoid of facts. Yes, those braniac liberals like Steve Jobs and his ilk had zero to do with economic growth in CA. Your theories explode with the mention of just 1 tech name.
Republicans demonize minorities all of the time for sponging Federal money, but Whites dominate social services and corporate welfare drives economic "growth", which isn't growth at all if that job came from somewhere else in the US. It's a shift of jobs, not "job creation".
