Panhandlers on your route

I always look 10 years younger than I am.
Story on the news about a restaurant in cedar hill tx.
Veteran went for free meal on veterans appreciation day and had all his papers with him.
Manager figured he was a phony and took his food away from him.

Makes me wonder why the Vet didn't show his papers again to the manager.

I saw that news story. Its a shame if the story is as told. Now days its hard to believe anything-----there are always 2 sides to a story.

There was that 25 year old girl who dressed up like an old lady and panhandled in New York City in a rich area. She would get like a grand a day. Someone followed her up to her apartment and waited for
Her to come out and didn't have her costume on anymore.

Our city has a anti- begging ordinance. There are probably 20 to 30 different church organizations, veterans groups, service clubs, social services, soup kitchens etc available to anyone in true need. There isn't any reason anyone needs to be standing on a street corner with their hand out pestering people. We get a few coming thru town in the summer looking for an easy panhandling buck but the cops politely escort them to the city limits. We don't have any problem in the winter---they all move south--at least to Mpls.
