I realize you live your life in the dark and you do not see much. You can talk about "dark secrets" relating to gay sex and it is not hate----if anyone else --like the duck --mentions what straight men prefer vs what gay men prefer --it is hateful speech ??

How about just reality ??? Also for a big gay supporter ---you keep pointing out ---the pain of coming out--is that evil ???

It is when your history and behavior is to attack, discriminate and hate gay people. Hence, the self-hating gay. It's why I would most definitely not be surprised to see this guy get busted with another man at some point. His talk points in that direction.

But, hey, maybe he's not a gay man. He IS an insecure man. Who cares what gay people are doing? Life is too short to worry about what my neighbors, co-workers and friends do in their private lives.

And what is Duckman's explanation for all of the heterosexual anal sex happening out there? I'd love to hear his explanation about how and why THAT is happening...

Funny that god told Moses (allegedly) that one should not covet thy neighbor's wife, a protection of property clause and thus the context is these are instructions to males only, yet never felt concerned about prohibiting the coveting one might have for thy neighbor as in another male.

The Levitic prohibition of such behavior has a deeper history tradition in that certain religious cults as part of their practice had men dress as women and then lie with men as part of the religious ceremony. Therefore the basis for this violation is the prohibition against having other gods. The Deuteronomic codes, found and likely written during the reign of King Josiah (7th century BCE) likely also pull somewhat from the Levitic traditions in that Josiah was attempting to enforce what would become the monotheistic tradition that judaism would become.

I've yet to hear anyone taking part in anal sex proclaiming an act of religious rite although I suspect like heterosexual sex, at a heated point in the passion, god will end up getting mentioned a number of times.

As far as "gay sex" is concerned, it's all pretty weird considering the amount and apparently appetite of the public for anal heterosexual porn. Really, is it less "gay" if the "right" hole is available but one decides his preference is for the "wrong" hole?

You might be over thinking this .
Anyway, I'm pretty sure that in 20 years or so gay marriage/ civil unions will be the law of the land and no one will remember who Phil Robertson was.

I am not being a jerk with this post --many people here on this thread sound pretty reasonable. They have acknowledged the "difference" between Gay and Straight sex.

I truly believe --if the Gay Community stopped trying to force the impossible "It is the same" --everyone can move on.

The federal government should "recognize" all financial rights and tax benefits of Traditional marriages for gays.

The Gay Community has a National Convention to agree and name the Union --for example "Gayarriage"

The States put it on the Ballot the next election Day.

Religious fanatics are happy---Traditional belief people are Happy --the Gays are Happy with all the benefits ----and all of us can move on . For many "The Same" just does not work.

I agree. Phil is no longer a relevant topic since A&E backed off and treated it as no harm, no foul. Their show got a ton of free publicity and if people would stop rehashing everything the story would fade away.

If it just semantics then what difference does it make what they call it? How does the term "gay marriage" impact you on a personal level? What would you do if they went one step further, dropped the word "gay" and simply called it "marriage", thereby equating it to marriage between a man and a woman?

Your late to the dance. We covered this ground already. Both "sides" have acknowledged the difference.

Many Religious people and Many traditional people --have the right not to recognize the Gay Union as the SAME!!

This is not rocket science. Gay is Gay Straight is Straight --can we at least acknowledge that ???
