I've been to the majority of the National Parks west of the Mississippi and the Bad Lands are still one of the most scenic of them all.

It is beautiful. Have you seen our Painted Desert/Petrified Forest? How about Organ Pipe? Or maybe Canyon De Chelly (pron. shay)?

That ash is a pain........we dealt with ash from Mt. St. Helen and we were in Mission Viejo, CA. !! It goes everywhere !!

I wa in Reardan, WA visiting relatives when it erupted. It was pitch black by 2pm. Barely got home because the roads were all closed to the West side. My Dad took a road through Indian land to get around the road closures.
