Pigs beat a handcuffed man to death.

But, but, but when all the illegals are rounded up and deported there are good hardworking Americans waiting to fill all of these amazing jobs!!!
Shortage of labor always raises innovation and wages

This is history 101 going back all of human history; regardless of how you feel about the rest of the Rep agenda, the fact you're unironically defending cheap imported labor over cultivating high paying jobs is amazing

Do you have a source? When looking it up I’m seeing closer to $30, which I’m sure is basically nothing in New York
My buddy worked 25 years in Chicago prison system as a guard. Retired at 53. He was definitely making over 100 K a year when he retired. I really wouldn’t trust what you see online. Those averages are usually low even for a UPS driver. These guards work a lot of mandatory overtime and holiday pay. For what he made, and even how early he retired he didn’t make enough for what he had to do. IMO

My brother-in-law was a prison guard. He retired in his mid 50's several years ago. A lot of them do because of the stress of the job.

Yep, my buddy has what I consider PTSD from that job but since he’s retired, he’s been a different person. It would be difficult to be around the worst of society every day.
