I thought his tweet about Tillerson was instructive...say whatever you want about Tillerson, but Rex is magnitudes ‘smarter’ than Trump.
Trump continues to ‘drain the swamp’ of anyone who disagrees with him.

I disagree with the premise that Trump is ‘smart’.

He defines 'smart' as the ability to lie and cheat. Bonus points for not getting caught. Trump isn't getting bonus points.
If it wasn't for the decision to run for president and to his complete surprise get elected chances are the conduct of Trump and his organization would likely have continued to escape the claws of law enforcement.
Has he been captured by the claws of law enforcement yet?
No. All indications are however that the resolve to make him accountable for unlawful activity he may have been a party to is much higher.
The resolve to remove him before he dismantles liberalism is intense.

Wealth wasn't the only thing that got him the job.
It's tough for the left to give him any credit for anything, but he ran an amazing campaign. His timing, what he said, when and where he put the money and spent time when he went for the job.
He wasn't lucky, he was a smart and a savvy competitor.
