I hate the wasteful and exorbitant spending by the military industrial complex, however I love and respect the individual members of the military.

I think if you asked most of the soldiers they'd tell you the military wastes money on unusable weapons systems and bloated contracts. If they spent the money more wisely, we'd not only spend less on defense, we'd also be safer, and have better equipped soldiers and more practical weapons in the process.

Buddy of mine told me all these stories about how the military bleeds money out . One example is if soliders don't spend their allotted money when it renews then it will get lowered , sort of how school budgets works. This makes guys order tons of stuff they don't need regularly just to keep their allowance up .

It sounded like the military is just so big it gets away with a lot of waste. Sort of like UPS . We drive around doing stupid things costing the company unnecessary money but no one cares because the work gets done .

Sure, they’re cool, but their missions are better served with other cheaper, more battle tested platforms.
