President Trump

They still control the Senate and the White House but can’t accomplish squat. They can’t make a deal on anything.
Well, people wanted an outsider, a businessman, not just some politician.

Turns out the non-politician president isn't very good at politicing, which is kind of a requirement to get things done in politics....

Who would've thought it was so complicated.....

Indeed. They were on the same page as Obama regarding the wall as Democrats should be with Trump now.
Well I don't agree with Democrat policies so I don't agree with Republicans when they go full blown liberal with these big government anti-free-trade isolationist ideas.

But yes, if you're a liberal, you probably should agree with the Yankee in the White House.

That's right. And it's a real problem right now. Do you think our southern border should be secured to the best of our abilities?
I think a quick efficient path to documented entry and employment fosters economic prosperity for everyone, because I believe free market capitalism is the least worst system humans have come up with so far.

If it benefits immigrants more to document their entry than it does to use the unstoppable black market path, then a fence becomes a minor factor in the equation.

BUT, then again, they're not like us and that's scary..... so, maybe we should put up a fence or something. Yawn.

Would we quickly ship most of them to our farms, gardens and construction sites? Maybe give them health insurance and social security credits? Take care of them during economic downturns?

Would fast tracking illegals be fair to people who are immigrating to the US legally?

Are border barriers not needed now more than ever?

It’s conceivable that a rational immigration policy would go much farther than border walls.

The majority of our problems, including drugs from across the border, are a product our politicians’ complete inability to address the actual problems and deal with ‘immigration’.

Honestly, it’s a third-rail, for both sides.

We wouldn’t be in this situation if our elected leaders had been DOING THEIR JOB.

So, more walls?

Sure, another ineffective band-aid.

Go team!

The current “crisis” is a bunch of people turning themselves in claiming asylum. I’m sure a bigger fence will fix that.
