Another question. How much gas money will you spend driving to the post office to buy new stamps?

I use maybe a book a year.

My wife likes to keep the post office in business

Like most everyone else we keep our stamps an envelope in the junk drawer. Mostly forever stamps but the other day I realized we had a bunch of oddball one and two cent and some 23 cent postcard stamps. I started using those as a joke just to get rid of them. Sometimes I get 10 or 12 stamps on one envelope. I laugh when I think about some poor slob at PO having to add all my stamps up to make sure I'm not cheating them out of a penny.

I doubt it is if its got a dozen different stamps on it. I would bet the machine kicks it out into a dead letter bin to be looked at by a human.

Especially if half the stamps are upside down and the other half are taped on.

I actually got a notice in the mail Saturday from the Post Office that they are hiring. Things must be picking up for them (especially in the package dept.)
