When I worked preload, I made sure I at least got my 3.5 hours, and had another job. I would stay around until I got ran off. The 3.5 guarantee is just a minimum. It also was fought for and won for us!

Where I'm at (this may be a supplemental thing) you can "buy" service hours back. So, if you fell a hundred hours short for any given year, you can pay out of pocket in order to be vested for a year (possibly more).

I don't have details but, I know a driver that has done it.

Correct. Based on the supplements.

Some supplements just require you to clock in, others need a certain amount of hours to get full benefits credited.
