You can only afford it because you're working. Better take it seriously now because otherwise you'll be very thankful for SS down the line. As for me, I'll be returning to the U.S. after our house is paid for. Just a strategy, and if you look up the places I'm moving to you'd see you can live very decently on little. Allows me to pay off the house many years sooner.
