Top Dem’s aide under investigation, nabbed trying to leave US: report

A tech worker for Debbie Wasserman Schultz was arrested on Tuesday while attempting to flee the country after the FBI seized a smashed hard drive from his house in an ongoing federal probe, a report said.

The feds nabbed Pakistani-born Imran Awan — who was the target of a federal investigation for allegedly being involved in theft and IT abuses while working for the Democratic National Committee, according to The Daily Caller.

The FBI obtained the hard drives from Awan’s house amid a probe into “serious, potentially illegal, violations on the House IT network.”

Awan and his two younger brother have worked for the DNC and had access to emails and files from members of Congress, the website said.

finally something Democrats & Republicans in the US can totally agree on! Vetoing UN anti-Nazi bills. (Democrats because they want a war with Russia, & the bill is directed against Ukraine; Republicans, because they are, well, not exactly Nazis, more like anti-anti-Nazis.)

I wonder if the Democratic Party will survive .
All you hear from them is " Impeachment " .
If this is going to be their platform for the next few years and not take on any major issues , then I see a total turnoff from the voters ( except a few hard core sheeple ) .

The two political parties are one party—the corporate party. They do not debate substantive issues. They each support the expansion of imperial wars, the bloated military budget, the dictates of global capitalism, the bailing out of Wall Street, punishing austerity measures, assaulting basic civil liberties through wholesale government surveillance and the abolition of due process, and an electoral process that has cemented into place a system of legalized bribery. They battle over cultural tropes such as abortion, gay rights and prayer in schools. We elect politicians based on how we are made to feel about them by the public relations industry.

The Republican Party built its political base in these culture wars around Christian fascists, nativists and white supremacists. The Democratic Party built its base around those who supported workers’ rights, multiculturalism, diversity and gender equality. The base of each party was used and manipulated by elites. The Republican Party elites had no intention of banning abortion or turning America into a “Christian nation.” The Democratic Party elites had no intention of protecting workers from predatory corporatism. Everyone was sold out. The ascendancy of a populist right, dominated by racists and bigots, is the inevitable product of the corporate coup d’état, Saul said. - chris hedges

Most of this is fairly obvious. I don't disagree. Makes me wonder. If a bunch of FedEx and UPS guys know this. Other people have to know as well?
